Intended Use
Your soldering iron tool is designed for household, consumer
use only. The soldering iron is designed for soldering circuits,
electrical connections, jewelry, stained glass, and other crafts.
DO nOT use under wet conditions or in presence of
flammable liquids or gases.
DO nOT let children come into contact with the tool.
Supervision is required when inexperienced operators use
this tool.
Definitions: Safety Alert Symbols and Words
This instruction manual uses the following safety alert
symbols and words to alert you to hazardous situations and
your risk of personal injury or property damage.

DANGER: Indicates an imminently hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or
serious injury.

WARNING: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, could result in death or
serious injury.

CAUTION: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, may result in minor or
moderate injury.

(Used without word) Indicates a safety related message.
NOTICE: Indicates a practice not related to
personal injury which, if not avoided, may result in
property damage.

READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: When using Electric Tools, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the
risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury, including
the following:
1 . KEEP WORK AREA CLEAN. Cluttered areas and benches
invite injuries.
2 . CONSIDER WORK AREA ENVIRONMENT. Don't expose
power tools to rain. Don't use power tools in damp or
wet locations. Keep work area well lit.
3 . KEEP CHILDREN AWAY. All visitors should be kept
away from work area. Do not let visitors contact
tool or extension cord. Supervise the use of this tool
by children.
4 . STORE IDLE TOOLS. When not in use, tools should be
stored in dry, high or locked‑up place — out of reach
of children.
5 . USE SAFETY GLASSES.
6 . DON'T OVERREACH. Keep proper footing and balance at
all times.

7 . DISCONNECT TOOLS. When not in use, before servicing
and when changing accessories.
8 . This tool is recommended for indoor use only
9 . STAY ALERT. Watch what you are doing. Use common
sense. Do not operate tool when you are tired.
10 . DO NOT TOUCH THE HEATED TIP OF THE TOOL OR THE
HOT MELTED SOLDER. The operating temperature of this
tool is approximately 900 °F on the highest setting and
400 ° on the lowest setting.
11 . Never attempt to use any material other than that
recommended in this manual.
12 . Keep your soldering iron well away from all
flammable material.
13 . To avoid burns, always assume that the tip is hot and
return the soldering iron to its protective pen holder on the
soldering iron base.
14 . Never leave the tool unattended. Remove the battery
pack, allow the tool to completely cool, and store in a safe
place
15 . Before making any adjustment (removing or replacing a
tip, etc.) make sure the tool is disconnected from the battery
pack and completely cool.
16 . The fumes from flux are toxic. Always work in a well
ventilated area.
17 . Do not dip the tool into a liquid.
18 . Do not hold work in your hand if at all possible. Use a
vise, clamp, or pliers.

WARNING: Never modify the power tool or any part of
it. Damage or personal injury could result.

WARNING: ALWAYS use safety glasses. Everyday
eyeglasses are NOT safety glasses. Also use face or
dust mask if cutting operation is dusty. ALWAYS WEAR
CERTIFIED SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
ANSI Z87.1 eye protection (CAN/CSA Z94.3),
ANSI S12.6 (S3.19) hearing protection,
NIOSH/OSHA/MSHA respiratory protection.

WARNING: Older solder may contain lead, which is
known to the state of California to cause cancer, and
birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands
after handling.

CAUTION: When not in use, place tool on a stable
surface where it will not cause a tripping or falling
hazard. Some tools with large battery packs will
stand upright on the battery pack but may be easily
knocked over.
