Multistage switch
The multistage switch has the following
settings:
= Off
0
= Cold air-flow
= Half power
I
= Full power

Thermostat control
(Models HL 8111, SH 8401)
Using the infinitely adjustable thermostat
control, the unit can be preset to a specific
room temperature. As the preset room
temperature is reached, the unit will
automatically switch off. Once the
temperature has fallen below the preset
level, the heater will switch on again. The
thermostat function must also be used for
cold air flow operation. The operational
mode is shown by the indicator lamp.
Thermal safety cut-out
Once the safety cut-out has switched off the
appliance, remove the plug from the wall
socket and allow for a sufficient cooling
down period before switching on again.
Should the cut-out operate a second time,
the appliance must be checked by qualified
personnel.
Integral safety switch
(HL 8101, SH 8401)
This heater is equipped with an additional
safety switch, located in the base of the unit.
This safety feature automatically switches
the appliance off if it should be accidentally
overturned. In order to ensure that this
safety device is fully functional, the heater
must be placed on a firm and level surface at
all times.
If wall-mounted, an additional clamp must
be fitted over the safety switch.
Important: Do not fit the holding clamp
unless the heater is wall-mounted.
Wall mounting
(Models HL 8101, SH 8401)

The model HL 8111 fan heater with
oscillating function is not suitable for wall
mounting.
●
If the appliance is mounted or used in a
bathroom, a minimum distance of 3 m
from any bath, shower or wash basin etc.
must be observed.
●
The appliance must not be wall-mounted
directly underneath any wall socket.
- Drill two 6 mm holes (30 mm deep) at a
horizontal distance of 91 mm from each
other and at a height level of at least 30
cm.
- Insert two 6 mm dowels or plugs and two
3.5 mm x 35 mm screws leaving 5 mm
protruding.
- Place the clamp into the air inlet
openings and fit it in correct alignment
with the lower wall spacer. The recess in
the clamp must be aligned with the
opening for the power cord. (see
diagram)
The recess in the lower part of the clamp
acts as a guide for the safety switch and
ensures that the clamp is properly
positioned.
- There are two keyhole openings at the
rear of the unit, each one with a locking
lever. Push these levers down (position
I). Fit the unit to the wall by sliding the
two keyhole openings over the screw
