4. CONNECTIONS
4.1 Connection with powered top boxes
To connect to active boxes, simply plug into the
subwoofer and then use the
high-passed signal to the top box.
If you only have a Sub-18A for two top boxes and are looking
for a stereo system with mono sub, you'll need to drive the
subwoofer with a mono mixer output or an auxiliary, although
in this case you will overlap the bass region of both the
subwoofer and the top boxes.
Never use power amplifiers with powered boxes.
The illustration shows the connection for one of the sides of a
stereo system. To add more systems, connect as shown in
the dotted area.

To connect to passive top boxes, plug into the

high-passed signal to the input of an amplifier, which will drive
the passive box/es.
