Power cord storage
Depending on the model, your wafer/cone
iron may come with a power cord wind-up
storage or a cord storage compartment.
Always take the power cord out of its storage
compartment or unwind it to its full length
before use.
Wind up or restore the power cord to the
storage compartment only aft er the wafer/
cone iron has cooled down completely.
Before initial use
Th e wafer/cone iron should be preheated
for ten minutes with its lids closed. Th is will
remove the smell typically encountered when
fi rst switching it on. (Turn the thermostat
control to its highest setting.)
Please ensure suffi cient ventilation.
Clean the appliance aft erwards as described
in Cleaning and Care.

Plug in the appliance. Th e red indicator
light comes on.

Turn the thermostat control to its
maximum setting.

Preheat the appliance for about eight
minutes. It is then ready for use.

Once the pre-set temperature is reached,
the green 'ready'-light will come on. Th e

Open both lids.

Before use, the non-stick plates should
be lightly greased with a small amount of
oil or fat that is specifi cally intended for
frying and may be safely heated to high
temperatures.

Put the dough on the middle of the lower
plate.

Close the upper lid and press down gently
to help spread the dough evenly.

Th e baking time is in general 2 - 3 minutes,
depending on the nature of the dough as
well as the temperature selected.

Once the baking process is fi nished,
remove the wafers right away and use the
cone tool for shaping them. To prevent
damage to the non-stick coating, do
not use any sharp or pointed objects to
remove the food.

Check the level of browning. Should the
wafer be too light or too dark, adjust the
temperature control or baking time.

Place fresh dough into the wafer/cone iron
immediately aft er removing the wafer.

Aft er use, remove the plug from the wall
socket and allow the appliance to cool

To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
clean the appliance with water and do not
immerse it in water.
