Before first use
Please note that the slow cooker may produce an odor when switched on for the first
time, as residues from the production process are eliminated. This is normal and does not
indicate a defect or hazard. This faint smell will eventually go away after the first few uses.
Wipe clean all the parts with a soft damp cloth or sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIALS TO CLEAN THE SURFACE.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE SLOW COOKER BASE INTO WATER AT ANY TIME.
Assemble all the parts to the slow cooker.
How to use
1. Always set your slow cooker on a level and stable heat resistant surface.
2. Prepare your recipe according to the directions.
3. Assemble your ingredients in the ceramic pot and place the pot into the base.
Cover with the glass lid. If you need to pre-cook or brown foods prior to slow
cooking, this must be done in a pan on the stove, not in the slow cooker.
4. To begin cooking, plug the power cord into an outlet.
5. Select LOW (approx. 105-195°F) or HIGH (approx. 115-205°F) after referring to
specific recipe for precise cooking time. Refer to chart in helpful hints for
approximate temperature according to how many cooking hours.
6. When cooking is complete, the slow cooker will NOT switch to WARM
automatically. Turn slow cooker to OFF or WARM manually.
7. THIS UNIT BECOMES VERY HOT DURING USE AND EXTREME CAUTION SHOULD
BE USED DURING AND AFTER COOKING UNTIL THE UNIT HAS COOLED
COMPLETELY AFTER UNPLUGGING FROM THE OUTLET.
PLEASE NOTE: WARM setting is only used for keeping already cooked food warm
and is not intended for cooking. It is not recommended to use the warm setting
for more than 4 hours.
NEVER CARRY THE SLOW COOKER BY THE HANDLES WHEN THE CERAMIC POT IS
FULL OF HOT FOOD OR LIQUID. ALWAYS USE OVEN MITTS.
