Commissioning
1. Remove battery transit tab
As soon as the battery transit tab is removed, the unit
starts to operate.
2. Remove controller from its baseplate
First open the cover and remove the time switch as shown
on Fig. A. After closing the cover, proceed as shown on Fig.
B and C.
3. Mount baseplate and check wiring
Proceed as shown on Fig. D. For correct wiring, refer to
"Connection diagrams".

5. Configuration with DIP switches
5.1 Switching cycle
Self learning
Adaptive control (standard):
For all normal situations.
PID 12
Normal controlled systems:
For situations with normal temperature
variations.
PID 6
Fast controlled systems:
For situations with great temperature
variations.
2-Pt
Difficult controlled systems:
Proper on/off controller with a
switching differential of 0.5 °C
(±0.25 °C).

5.2 DIP switch reset
If one or several DIP switch positions are changed, a reset
must be made! Otherwise the previous settings are still
active!

Replacing the room temperature
controller
Proceed as shown on Fig. E and F. After that, the cover
can be opened and the time switch can be mounted.

Changing from 24-hour to weekly time
switch / Replacing time switch
If a change between a 24-hour time switch (AUZ3.1) and a
weekly time switch (AUZ3.7) is wanted or the time switch
has to be replaced, just proceed as shown in Fig. A. Before
that the cover must be opened.

Functional check
a) Open front cover. Move setting slider to
b) Set the set value temperature to 30 °C by turning the
upper setting knob in plus direction.
c) The relay and thus the regulating unit must respond
after no more than 1 minute. If this is not the case:
· Check regulating unit and wiring
· Room temperature may be higher than 30 °C
d) Reset set value temperature
(20 °C).
e) Move setting slider to AUTO

Notes
· If the reference room is equipped with thermostatic
radiator valves, they must be set to their fully open
position.
· The local regulations and standards for electrical
installations must be observed.
· The factory setting of all DIP switches is OFF.
· Corrected DIP switch settings must be activated by
making a DIP switch reset.
· External preliminary protection with max. C 10 A circuit
breaker is required in all cases.
