General remarks on
appliance noise
A distinction is drawn between two different
kinds of noise, namely normal operating
noise and other unusual noises, which are
easy to eliminate.
8
Normal operation:
The compressor produces an unobtrusive
humming noise, which is perfectly normal.
The refrigerant causes a slight whistling
noise as it passes through the appliance's
small-caliber pipework when the
compressor is switched on.
Easily-eliminated noises:
● Ensure that the air inlet and outlet
apertures are unobstructed.
● Make sure that the appliance is not
positioned directly next to furniture or
other appliances, to prevent the air being
expelled generating additional noise.
● Place the appliance on a fi rm and stable
surface.
● Reposition the dehumidifi er if necessary.
