1. Dip Switch for Imput Frequency (F of figure 1).
Dip switches for selecting input frequency have
32 combinations (0-31).
2. Dip Switch for Output Frequency (B of figure
1). Dip switches for selecting output frequency
have 32 combinations (0-31).
3. Dip Switch for Mode Selection (E of figure 1).
Switch 1: Setting the allowed channels of
DMX transmitting or receiving. Can select 203
7. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Set as transmitter: the DMX XLR input connec-
tor needs to be connected to the console, and
the dip switch of output frequency (B of figure
1) has to be set. Set switch 1 of mode selection
to ON (E of figure 1), 203 channels are selected
to be transmitted; set the switch 1 of mode
selection to OFF (E of figure 1), all 512 chan-
nels are selected to be transmitted. When the
machine is connected to the power and the
console correctly, red LED gets lighted.
Tips:
•
Under this status, the DMX XLR output (H of fig-
ure 1) coincides with the signal of the console.
No need to care switch 2 of mode selection (E of
figure 1).
•
When set as master for transmitting, corre-
spondent dip switch of Navigator WI DMX has to
be ser before being connected to DMX console.
When DMX console is connected to Navigator
WI DMX, any change of the dip switch will result
invalid. To get new dip switch setting valid, the
only way is to disconnect the connecting wire
of the console or to cut the power of Navigator
WI DMX, then connect the console of power on
Navigator WI DMX again.
2.
Set as receiver: the DMX XLR input connector
channels of 512 channels (TIPS: The fewer the
channels are selected for transmitting, the
faster DMX responds. ON is 203 channels. OFF is
512 channels.)
Switch 2: No function
4. LED indicating area (C & D of figure 1)
C - Blue: Power
D - Red: Trsnmitter
D - Green: Receiver
must be disconnected from the console. The
dip switch of input frequency (F of figure 1)
must be set the same os the output frequency
(B of figure 1) of the previous Navigator WI DMX.
Switch 1 of mode selection (E of figure 1) must
be set the same as the transmitter. If there´s
signal input of corresponded frequency, ap-
pears green light.
Tips:
•
DMX XLR output will transmit DMX data of
different quantity of channels according to the
setting of switch 1 of mode selection (E of figure
1); ON: sending 203 channels of DMX data, OFF:
sending 512 channels of DMX data. No need to
care output frequency (B of figure 1) and switch
2 of mode selection (E of figure 1).
•
When set as slave for receiving, corresponding
dip switch of Navigator WI DMX has to be ser
before receiving DMX signal. When Navigator
WI DMX receives correct signals, any change of
the dip switch setting will result invalid. To get
new dip switch setting valid, the only way is
to interrupt the transmitted signals, and then
yo receive the DMX signals again; or to cut the
power of Navigator WI DMX, and then power on
again.
