Introduction

WARNING: To prevent injury, disconnect the
power cord before you do maintenance.
Maintenance
Make sure that the nuts and screws are tight.
Make sure that the ON/OFF switch operates correctly. Refer to
To do a check of the ON/OFF switch on page 7 .
Clean the external surfaces of the product.
Make sure that there is no grease or oil on the handle.
Examine the power cord and the connection to the power supply
for damage.
Make sure that the moving parts operate correctly and can move
freely.
Make sure that the drill bit is sharp and clean.
Replace the gearbox oil.
Examine the water connection for damage and water leakage.
To clean the product
CAUTION: Make sure that no water goes
into the motor or the gearbox.
CAUTION: Do not use running water to
clean the product.
•
Use a dry or moist cloth to clean the product.
•
Remove blockage from all air openings. A blocked
air intake decreases the performance of the product
and can cause the motor to become too hot.
•
Clean and lubricate the spindle shaft thread.
To do maintenance of the diamond drill
bit
•
Make sure that the diamond tools segments are
sharp. Sharpen blunt diamond segments with a SiC
grind stone.

Before each
•
Make sure that there is no vibration in the drill bit. If
there is vibration in the drill bit, the diamond
segments can come loose.
•
Make sure that the diamond segments are
sufficiently larger than the inner and outer diameter
of the drill bit tube.
•
Lubricate the drill bit thread with water resistant
grease. This makes it easy to loosen the tool.
•
Make sure that the radial run out at the diamond
segments of the drill bit is not more than 1 mm.
