Warning – Batteries
• Do not attempt to charge any Li-ion batteries
with voltages above or below the voltage
range specified for this charger. This can
damage the charger.
• Do not charge NiMH and Li-ion batteries at
the same time.
• Do not attempt to charge any non-
rechargeable batteries (e.g. alkaline) or any
batteries which are damaged, leaking or
corroded.
Note
• The product is not designed to charge
InfoLithium batteries.
• The charging process only begins if the
distance between the two adjustable Li-ion
charging contacts is greater than 3 mm.
4. Getting Started and Operation
• Connect the charger to one of the two possible
power supplies (Pic. 1). When the red power LED
remains lit, the charger is in standby mode.
Note
• The charger automatically recognises faulty
batteries and does not charge these for safety
reasons.
• When the green charge LED is flashing, this
indicates proper charging.
• The green charge LED remains lit when the
batteries are fully charged.
4.1 Charging Li-ion batteries
• Open the slide cover of the charger completely
until it locks into place.
• Adjust the contacts on the bottom of the charger
to fit the particular Li-ion battery to be charged
(Pic. 2).
• Insert the battery into the charger (Pic. 3). The
charger automatically recognises the polarity of
the Li-ion battery.
• Unlock the slide cover by pressing the silver
release button and then close the slide cover so
that the particular battery is held securely and is
touching the contacts.
• Ensure that the green charge LED indicates
proper charging. If this is not the case, check
the contacts.
4.2 Charging NiMH batteries (AA/AAA cells)
• Open the slide cover of the charger completely
until it locks into place.
• When charging NiMH batteries, observe the
correct polarity indicated on the battery symbols.
Insert the NiMH battery with the correct polarity
(Pic. 4).
• Unlock the slide cover by pressing the silver
release button and then close the slide cover so
that the particular battery is held securely and is
touching the contacts.
• Ensure that the green charge LED indicates
proper charging. If this is not the case, check
the contacts.
• 1 or 2 NiMH rechargeable batteries can be
charged. If 2 NiMH rechargeable batteries
are charged at the same time, they must be
of the same type (AA or AAA) and have the
same capacity and charge state (remaining
capacity). We recommend that you only charge 2
rechargeable batteries at the same time, which
were used together in the same device.
4.3 USB charging option
• Connect the USB device to be charged with the
USB connection on the charger. In contrast to
charging options 4.1 and 4.2, the green charge
LED does not indicate charging.
• The USB charging option supplies a
maximum of 5 V/500 mA.
