1. Introduction
BOD measurement with BOD EVO Sensor is based on the respirometric method that provides a direct measurement of the
oxygen consumed by microorganisms from an air or oxygen-enriched environment in a closed atmosphere, at a constant
temperature (20 °C ± 0.5) and with a soft sample stirring.
2. Assembly and installation
Upon receipt and after having removed the packaging, please check the integrity of the instrument. The box includes:
● BOD EVO Sensor
BOD EVO Sensor is delivered with 2 lithium batteries installed: remove the insulating strip from the rear without opening it.
3. Operating controls
The display of the electronic measuring unit is normally turned off reducing he consumption of internal batteries. The touch
of a key activates the display which automatically is turned off after three seconds. The key activates different functions if
the unit is performing a measurement or if it is in memory code and if the unit is (or not) in wireless mode. When the display
is turned off and no analysis is performed, BOD EVO Sensor shows the symbol
3.1 Wireless or non-wireless mode
BOD EVO Sensor is already set on the wireless mode. To switch to a non-wireless mode, keep pressed SET when the
display is off until "S.E.T." appears. When the three dots disappear:

NOTE: before beginning an additional BOD EVO Sensor, it's necessary to wait that the display shows "An".
3.4 Last data recovery
If during an analysis the Wireless DataBox™ looses some data, it's possible to retrieve the data for the last seven samplings
by pressing SET twice: in this way data will be automatically sent to the Wireless DataBox™.
