7.3.2 Connection of the hand switch
There must not be any connection between the lifting column and the data interface
prior to connecting the hand switch!
The lead 1 must be pulled out.
Procedure:
•
Push the hand switch plug 2 into socket 2.
•
Push the plug 3 on the lead into socket 3. See above picture.
The PLC/PC data interface and the hand switch are ready for operations.
7.3.3 Connection to a PC
Before connecting the PLC/PC data interface, you must first install the software supplied on the
PC. Prerequisite: the operating system Windows 95,98, NT or XP and .net Framework 1.1 from
Microsoft must be installed.
Proceed as follows:
•
Place the CD supplied in the CD-ROM drive of your PC.
•
Call up the installation file Setup.exe on the CD.
•
Follow the instructions in the installation menu.
After completing the installation, carry out the following
steps:
•
Switch your PC off.
•
Plug the PC lead with the Western plug into socket 1
and the other end into a free, serial COM interface
on your PC.
•
Make the connection between socket 3, the PLC/PC
data interface and hand switch socket on the lifting
column.
•
Switch on the PC and call up the PLC/PC data inter-
face program.
The PLC/PC data interface and the PC are now ready for operations.
Risk of damage!
It is essential that the PC is switched off before connecting the PLC/PC data interface!
