Mains connection
The control is ready for connection by CEE-Cara 16A
plug and approx. 1m cable as shown in
The unit must be connected to the mains in
!
accordance with the existing power supply
voltage.
The customer should provide a 10-
amp fused automatic circuit breaker for the
control. If an RCCB is installed it should
comply with class B - universal current
sensitive.
5
Motor connecting lead
All EMC measures (ferrite rings, grounds and
screens) must be performed as shown.

motor with DES
5b
Terminal connection diagram for slip-in
motor with multiturn
For battery supply of the multiturn transducer plug
the BAT contacts together.
Reprogramming of the end positions is required after
a battery power outage.
6
Impulse generator connection
6a/6b
- Connection J1 for external control units
Open, Stop and Close.
6c
- Switching sequence Open-Stop-Close, set value
4 in menu 51.
J1.3 - door half open, J1.4 – door fully open
6d
- Open-Stop-Close with lighting
The gate must remain visible from
the place of operating it.
7
Timer inputs
Terminal J8 is intended for operating devices, for AR
service, same as push-pull switch
7b
and motion detector
automatically at the end of the time set in menu 44.
The open time by the light barrier can be set to a
shorter time in menu 38.
8
Safety edge connection
Door connection socket with slack rope switch or
break-away sensor and slip door contact
Select the setting of the safety edge connection in
menu 35:
Door connection socket with slack rope switch and
slip door contact 8.
- Optical closing edge OSE - only OSE from Fraba or
Witt are permitted
- Electrical safety edge 8K2 with a termination
resistor of 8.2 kOhm (value = 1)
- Electrical safety edge 8K2 in series connection with
slack rope and wicket door switch (value = 3)
- Pressure wave edge and switch with a loop
resistance of 8.2 kOhm (value = 2)
9
Connection for light array
The following light arrays can be connected.
9a
Light array with testing
For this, set value 5 in menu 36.
9b
Light array with OSE interface
For this, set value 0 in menu 36.
10
Photocell connection
10a
Two-wire photocell LS2
10b
Four-wire photocell LS5 with self-testing
10c
Reflection photocell
If in the menu the frame-fitted photocell has been
selected, the next time the door closes the control
unit automatically initiates a learning run to detect the
position. E10 will be disdplayed.
During this process the closing procedure
must not be interfered with, otherwise the

wrong position could be recorded.
11
Anti-crash sensor
Input J6 detects when the curtain is off guide and
starts an automatic threading up of the hangings.
One-way light barrier with relay output
transistor output
12
Emergency-STOP connection
Use input also for spring break switch.
13
Key switch / pull button connection
When using a key switch / pull button, the desired
function in menu 50 should be selected.
14

Menu 50

Programming the control unit

The programming is menu-driven. Carry out
adjustment of the door in accordance with the
scheme. The following page shows the full extent of
the menu.
!
Set the correct motor and brake type before
setting the end positions (menus 78 and 79).
Wrong setting can damage the door.
No door type selected: E01 is displayed.
Brake selection
(menu 78)
Brake type A, currentless braking, is applied at the
same time (value=0) or with a delay (1-9) after start of
the motor.
Brake type B, currentless opening, opens at the
same time (value=10) or with a delay (11-19) after
start of the motor.
Drive motor selection
(menu 79)
The drive motors are listed on a separate sheet
because new additions are made constantly.
Setting the door end-of-travel positions
30 and 31)
The top and bottom end positions should be set
directly one after the other.
Door motion settings
(menus 30 and 31)
Related parameters such as maximum motor speed
and optimum door motion profile are stored for every
motor type.
!
These settings could be necessary depending on
the door type.
ON period
(menu 49)
The ON period set will prevent the drive motor from
getting overheated and thus getting damaged.
RWA (smoke-heat exhaust) function
Set the required door position in menu 55. Connect
fire alarm to J7 and set value 10 in menu 50.
Programming the radio remote control
Please note that each hand transmitter must be
individually programmed. It is possible for up to 30
radio codes to be learned. The required function can
be selected in menu 64.
KeeLoq, 12 Bit Multibit. The first code determines the
type.
Start impulse
(menu 60)
Enter the menu and press the button on the hand
transmitter for the START function. As soon as the
code has been learned, the incremental display
with
flashes five times.
Half-open position of the door
Enter the menu and press the button on the hand
transmitter for the half-open position. As soon as the
code has been learned, the incremental display
flashes five times.
Light function
(menu 62)
Enter the menu and press the button on the hand
transmitter for the light function. As soon as the code
has been learned, the incremental display flashes
five times.
Deleting radio codes
(menu 63)
To delete all the learned codes in the menu, press the
oval button and keep it pressed for 5 seconds.
Selection of the transmitter mode
In addition, the transmitters taught in this menu can
temporarily be blocked in this menu.
