OPERATION MANUAL AND INSTRUCTIONS
ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO
Vacuum pump oil replacement.
- Take the following steps:
• Periodically check the oil level through the sight glass (figure 9 – part 3) and oil purity.
• The oil level should be halfway up the sight glass.
• To fill up oil, unscrew the plug (figure 9 – part 1) and add oil to the required level (halfway up the sight glass).
• Generally speaking, to ensure a long operating life and excellent performance, oil should be replaced after the first 100
operating hours or every 12 months anyway, or when oil is contaminated and gets darker.
• After the vacuum pump has worked for some time, the station will automatically display the message "SERVICE", to indicate
that the periodical test should be performed.
• Use only a specific lubricant (hydraulic oil ISO 68).
• To change oil, run the pump for a few minutes; unscrew the plug (figure 9 – part 2); drain oil into a container; run the pump for 30
seconds; leave oil to drain. Screw the plug (figure 9 – part 2); unscrew the plug (figure 9 – part 1) and let in the required amount
of oil, until the level is halfway up the sight glass (figure 9 – part 3).
• Close the plug (figure 9 – part 1); run the pipe and check the level.
The old oil drained from the pump shall be disposed of as special waste in accordance with current provisions.
However, it is recommended to replace the filter and the vacuum pump oil (BETA's replacement kit item n°.
018930510) at least once a year.
