IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES
<< The machine may not be operated by more
than one person at any given time!
The machine was designed for safe operation
by "one person only".
<< During the shredding process no other
work may be performed on the machine
(for example cleaning, etc.)!
<< The machine is not a toy, and is not suitable
for use by children!
The overall technical safety concept of
this machine (dimensions, feed openings,
emergency shutdown devices etc.) does not
provide for any guarantee regarding hazard-
free operation by children.
EXPLANATION OF THE CONTROLS:
1 = Rocker switch "On / Off" (fig. 2)
The machine is switched on and off with this
switch.
2 = Light barrier (forward running) (fig. 3)
The shredding operation is started as soon
as a sheet of paper passes through the feed
slot. Control display lights up.
3 = Backwards button (fig. 1)
When this button is pressed briefly, the cutting
mechanism runs backwards.
Note: The cutting mechanism only runs
backwards as long as the button is held
(touch function).
4 = Control display „ready" (fig. 1)
Lights when the rocker switch (1) is operated
(position „I").

OPERATION
5 = Control display „forwards run" (fig. 1)
Lights up if the cutting mechanism starts
running forward after being activated by the
light barrier.
6 = Control display "material jam" (fig. 1)
Lights when too much material is fed to the
cutters. The cutting mechanism blocks and
stops. The motor is switched off.
7 = Control display "motor overload" (fig. 1)
Lights up if the motor is overloaded. The
machine cannot be started again until the
motor has cooled down.
The shredder may not be used as a step
ladder or as a seat. Danger of falling
due to breakage!
