C
OMMUNICATION INTERFACE
Caution! Before opening the drawer on the bottom of the inverter, disconnect the AC grid and the PV generator
by opening the DC switch and disconnecting the DC connectors.
To access the communication interface, open the box by removing the screws (3)
The inverter has three communication interfaces:
USB
RS485/422
The RS485/422 interface allows remote monitoring of more than one chain-connected inverter (as shown in the following image)
by means of SunVision software or available dataloggers. The board has a 10-way terminal block with duplicate contacts to
facilitate bus creation.
Using shielded twisted pair (STP) cables is advisable, as well as connecting the cable shield to the GND terminal on the bus
monitoring device (PC or other) and to each GND terminal of the inverter.
It is advisable to maintain the total resistance of the cable lower than 150 Ω and the total length of the bus within the limits of the
RS485 standard: 1200 m. It is possible to monitor up to 255 devices on the same bus. With very extended buses or those
exceeding the aforementioned specifications, it may be necessary to use special signal amplifiers.
The communication drawer can come out 10cm from the bottom of the inverter. It is therefore recommended to prepare the
RS485/422 bus cables long enough to allow you to easily operate the interface itself.

The USB interface allows to download the historical data. It can
be accessed by removing the cap on the communication
drawer. For connection, use the cable supplied or a cable with
a maximum length of 3 metres.
