It is essential to observe the following items:
G
The units are suitable for indoor use only.
Protect them against dripping water and
splash water, high air humidity, and heat
(admissible ambient temperature range
0 – 40 °C).
G
Do not set the laser unit into operation, or
immediately disconnect the power supply
unit from the mains socket if
1. there is visible damage to the laser unit
or the power supply unit,
2. a defect might have occurred after a
drop or similar accident,
3. malfunctions occur.
The units must in any case be repaired by
skilled personnel.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth,
never use chemicals or water.
G
No guarantee claims for the units and no
liability for any resulting personal damage
or material damage will be accepted if the
units are used for other purposes than
originally intended, if they are not expertly
installed, not correctly connected or oper-
ated, or not repaired in an expert way.
If the units are to be put out of
operation definitively, take them to
a local recycling plant for a dis-

plied with hazardous mains
voltage. Leave servicing to
skilled personnel only. Inex-
pert handling or modification
of the unit may cause an
electric shock hazard.
3 Applications
The laser units CRAB-12RG and CRAB-
22RG project rotating red and green light
dot patterns onto a surface. The CRAB-
12RG will create light dots which will keep
converging and diverging. The CRAB-
22RG will create different two-coloured fig-
ures (hearts, wind wheels, whirls, lines)
which will keep rotating alternately. The
CRAB-12B will project moving light dot pat-
terns in blue.
The laser beams may light continuously,
light up with an adjustable frequency or
flash by music control due to the installed
microphone.
4 Installation and
Setting into Operation
Install the laser unit safely and expertly. The
person setting up the unit together with all
additional components (e. g. mirrors, pro-
jection surface) to create a laser system
becomes the legitimate manufacturer of this
system. Always observe the warning
notes in chapter 2.1.
WARNING
1. Always observe the safety
regulations of the country
where the unit is operated.
2. If the laser unit is installed at a place
where people may walk or sit under it,
additionally secure it (e. g. by a safety
rope fixed to the mounting bracket; fas-
ten the safety rope in such a way that,
in the event of a fall, the maximum
falling distance of the unit will not
exceed 20 cm).
When setting up or suspending the laser
unit, always ensure a sufficient air circula-
tion during operation. Keep a minimum dis-
