2 Important Safety Notes
This unit corresponds to the directive for electro-
magnetic compatibility 89/336/EEC and the low volt-
age directive 73/23/EEC.
The unit uses dangerous mains voltage (230 V~). To
prevent a shock hazard, do not open the cabinet.
Leave servicing to authorized, skilled personnel
only. Besides, any guarantee claim expires if the unit
has been opened.
Observe in any case the following items as well:
Only use the unit indoors. Protect it against humidity
and heat (admissible ambient temperature range
0 – 40 °C).
The heat which is generated inside the unit must be
carried off by air circulation. Therefore, do not cover
the air vents of the housing with anything.
Do not insert anything through the air vents! This
may result in an electric shock.
Do not set the unit into operation or immediately dis-
connect the mains plug from the mains socket if
1. there is visible damage to the unit or the mains
cable,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or simi-
lar accident,
3. there are malfunctions.
The unit must in any case be repaired by authorized,
skilled personnel.
A damaged mains cable must only be replaced by
the manufacturer or authorized, skilled personnel.
Never disconnect the mains plug by pulling the
cable out of the mains socket.

If the unit is used for purposes other than originally
intended, if it is not carefully operated or not repaired
in an expert way, no liability can be taken over for
any damage.
If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively,
take it to a local recycling plant for disposal.
Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord-
ance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol
, or coloured green or green and yel-
low.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning - This appliance must be earthed.
3 Applications
A special atmosphere can be created by emitting artifi-
cial fog from the fog machine. Thus, the unit is suitable
for use e. g. in the disco, theatre and at the private
party.
4 Setting into Operation
4.1 Place of setting-up and mounting
During operation the output nozzle becomes very
hot (300 °C). Place the unit at a distance of at least
50 cm from easily inflammable materials.
Caution: Risk of burning! Align the unit so that the
hot fog stream does not directly hit persons.
1) Remove the complete packing material. Take spe-
cial care that there are no packing remnants at the
output nozzle.
2) Mount the supplied handle (7) according to fig. 1.
Place the two supplied plastic washers (8) between
the handle and the housing. Tighten the two knob
screws (9).
3) Place the unit on a horizontal surface so that no
fluid can leak out.
4) With the handle (7) the fog machine can also be
mounted to a traverse. In this case the unit must
never be inclined more than 15°.
