Initial operation

The kettle is made from stainless steel and WMF glass. This is heat resistant, stable, neutral tasting
and easy to clean. Thoroughly clean the inside of the kettle before using it for the first time. (See the
chapter "Cleaning and care").
The unused length of the connecting cable can be wound at the bottom of the base. Connect the
mains plug to an earthed socket.
Add the desired amount of water (min. 500 ml, max. 1,600 ml). Note: If the kettle is not filled with
enough water, the overheating protection automatically switches off the heating elements. The
appliance must be left to cool. Too much water may cause boiling or hot water to overflow, which can
cause serious injury or burns.
The lid (2) must be firmly secured to prevent splashes. Place the kettle on the base in any position. Do
not use the water from the first boiling process for food preparation.
Note: The kettle has a 360° spout.
The following functions are available:
Setting the temperature unit (°C/°F)
1. Connect the appliance to the mains.
2. Press the increase temperature button (13) and hold it down for at least 3 seconds.
