Switching mode power supplies IO-Link ready
BAE PS-XA-1S-24-200-104
Operating elements
Potentiometer
Use for setting the output voltage.
Display elements
Stress level indicator
The green, yellow and red LEDs indicate the electrical and
thermal load. This data is collected during a one-hour
period and evaluated at every hour. The operator is thereby
able to check and then modify the ambient conditions to
prevent negative influences on the device.
Symbol
Low pulse speed: conditions are OK. Long
service life is expected.
Green
Pulse speed increasing: thermal load not
optimum. No immediate risk of overheating.
Slightly accelerated aging. Reduce the load
or improve ventilation!
Yellow
High pulse speed: poor internal thermal
state, service life at serious risk. Check the
load and improve ventilation!
Red
Lifetime indicators (service life)
The LEDs indicate the remaining service life of the device.
It is based on the sum of all loads. The service life starts
at15 years and decreases depending on the stress level
and the load.
Symbol
Power supply with long service life
Green
Service life less than 3 years, replace during
next maintenance cycle.
Yellow
Power supply at end of service life, replace
immediately.

Load level indicator (load level)
The LEDs indicate the current load of the device without
any delay:
Symbol
0...80% load
Green
81...100% load
Yellow
>100...150% load, typically when a higher
current is required, max. 4 s
Red
Error indicator
As soon as the output voltage lies outside of
the working range 22...28 V DC (e.g., short
circuit), only the load level indicator illumina-
tes red. The other two indicators are swit-
ched off.
Alarm contacts
Alarm contacts are potential-free contacts.
Common
Common connection for the potential-free contacts Life-
time, DC Alarm and Stresslevel.
Lifetime contact
The contact closes as soon as the Lifetime LED turns red.
This means the device should be replaced immediately to
prevent a system failure.
DC Alarm contact
The contact closes as soon as the output voltage falls
outside the 21 V...28.5 V DC range, e.g. in case of a short
circuit on the output.
Stresslevel contact
The contact closes as soon as the Stress level LED turns
to red.
