events and provides a maximum output power of
1800 W.
For transport, the satellite speakers and the corre-
sponding connection cables can be stowed in the sub-
woofer cabinet which is equipped with castors and
thus ideally suited for mobile applications.
4 Setting-up and Connection
1) Open the flap of the subwoofer system to take out the
satellite speakers and the connection cables. Make
sure that the flap is properly closed again to allow an
optimum bass reproduction during operation.
2) Place each satellite speaker on a PA speaker stand
(e. g. PAST-162 by "img Stage Line") at a suitable
place. It would be best to place the subwoofer sys-
tem centrically between the two satellite speak ers,
then lock the two castors at the front.
3) As a signal source, connect an audio unit with line
output level (e. g. mixer, CD player, etc.). Connect
the two stereo channels of the signal source via an
XLR or 6.3 mm plug each to the balanced INPUT
jacks (3) or via a cable with phono connectors to
the unbalanced phono INPUT jacks (6) – R = right
channel, L = left channel.
4) At the corresponding output LINK (2 or 5) the input
signal fed through is available. This output allows to
connect the input of another active speaker system
if PA application of even larger zones is required.
5) Connect the satellite speakers to the jacks SAT
SPEAKER (5) via the connection cables supplied.
Connect the SPEAKON
ing jacks and turn them clockwise until they lock
into place. For later removal, push the locking latch
on the plug to the rear and turn the plug counter-
clockwise.
6) Finally connect the supplied mains cable to the
mains jack (12) and to a mains socket (230 V~ /
50 Hz).
5 Operation
CAUTION Never adjust a very high volume. Per-
manent high volumes may damage
your hearing! The human ear will get
accustomed to high volumes which do
not seem to be that high after some
time. Therefore, do not further increase
a high volume after getting used to it.
1) Switch on the signal source connected.
2) Prior to switching on, set the control VOL (7) to zero
to prevent switching noise. Then switch on the PA
system with the mains switch POWER (11): The
upper LED AMP. ON / PROT. (1) will show red for a
few seconds after switching on (protective circuit
activated, unit muted) and then change to green
(normal operation).

3) Adjust the volume with the control VOL (7).
4) Adjust the volume ratio between the subwoofer and
the satellite speakers with the control BALANCE (9)
in such a way that a natural bass reproduction will
result.
5) If the volume is too high, the limiter will automati-
cally reduce the volume to protect the speakers. If
the volume adjusted on the subwoofer is too high,
the LED SUB LIM (1) will light up; if the volume
adjusted on the satellite speakers is too high, the
LED SAT LIM will light up. If one of these LEDs
lights continuously or if both LEDs light continu-
ously, turn back the volume control VOL accord-
ingly. Otherwise, permanent activation of the limiter
will reduce the dynamic power of the music.
6) For stereo operation, press the button STEREO
(10). The LED ST next to the button will light up. For
mono operation, unlock the button.
7) During stereo operation, the button SURROUND
(8) may be pressed to improve the surround sound.
With the button pressed, the corresponding LED
ON will light up.
8) After operation, set the control VOL to zero first,
then switch off the unit with the switch POWER.
