Mode 4 | 12 V (14.7 V / 3.5 A)
Suitable for batteries with a capacity of more
than 14Ah in cold condition or for many AGM
batteries.
Press the mode selection button (8) to select Mode
4 and the indicator LED (14) as well as the 12V
operations indicator LED (16) will light up. If no
other selections are made, the charging process
will start automatically after a few seconds and the
indicator LED (10) will flash. After successfully
charging the battery, the charge status indicator
LED (11) will light up and the charge indicator LED
(10) will turn off
After a short delay the unit will switch automatically
to the trickle charging mode and the charge status
indicator LED (11) is illuminated.
Automatically selected modes:

5.2 Pulse Charging

This is an automatic function of the charger and
cannot be selected manually. If the battery voltage
at the start of the charging process is between 8V
(± 0.5V) and 10.5V (± 0.5V) in the 12V mode, the
charger operates automatically in the pulse charging
mode. On attaining a battery voltage above 10.5V
(± 0.5V), the unit continues to charge the battery
in the charging mode selected. This enhances the
charging process and ensures a better condition of
the battery.

5.3 Trickle Charging

The charger switches automatically to this mode
when the battery is fully charged. In this mode,
a small current is delivered to the battery when
necessary to keep the full charge.
Automotive Aftermarket
The charger can be left connected to the battery of
a vehicle when it is not being used (ie. convertible,
motorcycle, classic car, etc.). The charger will
monitor the battery and keep it at a high charging
level without risk of damage.

5.4 Charger Protection Function

Appliance Protection Function
The charger switches to standby mode in the
following abnormal situations.
• Remaining battery voltage < 6V (12V batteries)
• Open circuit
- no battery or only one pole is connected to
the charger
• Reverse polarity
- the DC cables from the charger are
incorrectly connected to the battery
In the event of reverse polarity, the LED (9) will light
up. If no other setting is chosen, the system remains
in standby mode.
In the event of a short, the cable fuse (4a) will
protect the unit and the electrical system from
damage.
Overheating Protection
If the unit becomes excessively hot during charging,
the output power is automatically reduced to avoid
damage to the charger.
