6.2 Changing the table insert (Fig. 4)
To prevent increased likelihood of injury, the
table insert should be changed whenever it is
worn or damaged.
Take off the saw blade guard (2) (see 6.1).
Remove the countersunk head screws (17).
Take out the worn table insert (6).
Fit the replacement table insert by following
the above in reverse.
6.3 Fitting/removing the splitter (Fig. 5-8)
Danger! Pull out the power plug.
Remove the saw blade guard (2) (see 6.1).
Using the hand wheel (8), set the blade (4) to
the lowest cutting depth, move to 0° position
and lock in place.
Turn the bench-type circular saw over and set
it down with the saw table (1) on a suitable
surface.
Slacken the recessed head screws (32) so
that the saw blade cover (31) can be swung
away to the side. Important! Only loosen the
recessed head screws, do not remove them
completely.
Remove the fastening screw (19) and remove
the fastening plate (20) and the splitter (5).
Carefully clean the splitter (5) and the faste-
ning plate (20) before then fitting them back
on the machine.
To assemble, proceed in the reverse order.
The distance between the blade (4) and the
splitter (5) should be 3-8 mm (Fig. 8).
Make sure that the splitter (5) has been fitted
straight and not wobbly.
The splitter (5) must be positioned in the cen-
ter along an imaginary line extending behind
the saw blade (4), so that it is not possible for
the material to get jammed.
6.4 Fitting/changing the saw blade (Fig. 5, 6,
9)
Danger! Pull out the power plug!
Wear work gloves to prevent injury when
changing the saw blade.
Remove the saw blade guard (2) (see 6.1).
Using the hand wheel (8), set the blade (4) to
the lowest cutting depth, move to 0° position
and lock in place.
Turn the bench-type circular saw over and set
it down with the saw table (1) on a suitable
surface.
Swing the saw blade cover (31) away to pro-
vide access to the saw blade (4) as described
in 6.3.
Undo the screw (15) by placing the 19/8 mm

ring wrench (29) on the screw (15) and the
10/8 mm ring wrench (30) on the motor shaft
to apply counter-pressure.
Caution! Turn the nut in the direction of rotati-
on of the saw blade.
Take off the outer flange and pull the old saw
blade off the inner flange by dropping the bla-
de at an angle.
Clean the blade flange thoroughly before fit-
ting the new blade.
Mount and fasten the new saw blade in rever-
se order.
Caution! Note the running direction. The cut-
ting angle of the teeth must point in running
direction, i.e. forwards (see the arrow on the
blade guard).
Return the bench-type circular saw to tis wor-
king position and fit the saw blade cover (31)
and saw blade guard (2) (see 6.3, 6.1).
Check to make sure that all safety devices
are properly mounted and in good working
condition before you begin working with the
saw again.
Warning! Every time that you change the saw
blade, check that the saw blade guard (2)
opens and closes again in accordance with
requirements. Also check that the saw blade
(4) spins freely in the saw blade guard (2).
Warning! Every time that you change the saw
blade (4), check to see that it spins freely in
the table insert (6) in both perpendicular and
45° angle settings.
Warning! You should replace the table insert
(6) immediately whenever it is worn or dama-
ged (see 6.2).
Warning! The work to change and align the
saw blade (4) must be carried out correctly.
6.5 Sawdust extraction (Fig. 10)
The saw is equipped with an extractor port
(16) for chips.
This makes it easy to connect to any extrac-
tor.
Never use the equipment without the suction
function.
Regularly check and clean the suction chan-
nels.
6.6 Putting away loose parts (Fig. 2)
When not in use, the push stick (3), parallel stop
(7) and cross stop (14) can be secured as shown
in Fig. 2. To enable the parallel stop (7) to be fas-
tened, fi t the two holders (42) on the left side of
the machine fi rst.
