APPENDIX D – GENERAL PROBLEMS
If during the use of the unit an alarm indication should appear, this dos not mean that
the machine is faulty and out of service.
The problem could be due just to a transitory anomaly (for example a black-out), or an
improper use of the equipment.
First, it is important to identify the cause of the anomaly and work on it when possible
before requesting the intervention of the Technical support service (see Appendix
Z).
To this end, you will find here indications for troubleshooting and solution of the most
common problems, besides an accurate description of the alarms codes along with
their meanings (see Appendix E – Alarms indications).
The unit is equipped with a microprocessor card that includes analogical and digital I/O
interfaces connected to devices and probes in order to continuously monitor the values
of the preset parameters and the proper operation of the unit.
No detergent/rinse-aid product:
It is detected by a special detector.
This alarm does not interrupt the cycle in progress and does not prevent the
start of a cycle.
Failed resistor:
If the command of resistor enable remains active for a time longer than the
preset value, the cycle is interrupted and the machine switches to blocked
status.
Door blocking warning:
It intervenes when both the messages of blocked door and open door are
detected by the door's micro-switches.
Water fill Time-out:
It takes over if the cold-water electromagnetic valve stays open over the time-
out value or for a water level lower than the preset value after the timeout.
Water drain Time-out:
It takes over for a water residue higher than the threshold level after the drain
pump timeout.
Door unblocked:
It takes over when the door blocking command sent by the electronic card does
not match with the confirmation signal from the door's micro-switch within the
time programmed; the machine switches to blocked status and generates the
door unblocked message.
Temperature probe fault:
It takes over for a fault in the tank's or heating resistor's temperature probe; the
unit switches to blocked status.
