PROGRAMMING OR RESETTING YOUR
PERSONAL CODE
1
Open the chest. Use a thin object like a
straightened paperclip to press and hold
the reset button, located on the top of the
keypad, until the green LED flashes.
2
Enter a new 4-6 digit personal code on the
key pad. The chest will acknowledge each
acceptable keypress when green LED flashes.
• NOTE: The chest will time out and the
red light will flash if there is no key entry
within 10 seconds.
3
If the new personal code is 6 digits, the chest will accept it immediately. If the new
personal code is 4 or 5 digits, the code will be accepted 10 seconds after the last
key press. The red light will flash after 10 seconds if fewer than 4 digits are entered
and the chest will go into Standby mode.
4
Once the new personal code is accepted, the chest will automatically save and exit
to Standby mode without additional indication.
5
Test the personal code before closing the chest. If the code is invalid, repeat
steps 1-4.
• NOTE: The personal code programmed will not be erased when the battery
power is removed.
