Preparations at the workplace
CAUTION
Risk of injury by inadvertent starting!
▶ Before inserting the battery, make sure that the product is switched off.
▶ Remove the battery before making any adjustments to the power tool or before changing accessories.
Observe the safety instructions and warnings in this documentation and on the product.
5.1
Charging the battery
1. Before charging the battery, read the operating instructions for the charger.
2. Make sure that the contacts on the battery and the contacts on the charger are clean and dry.
3. Use an approved charger to charge the battery.
5.2
Removing the saw blade
1. Remove the battery. → page 8
2. Engage the transport lock.
3. Turn the chuck locking sleeve counterclockwise and hold it in this position.
4. Pull the blade forward out of the chuck.
5. Release the locking sleeve and allow it to move back to its original position.
5.3
Inserting the saw blade
Use only saw blades with a 1/2" connection end.

2. Engage the transport lock.
3. Check that the connection end of the accessory tool is clean and lightly greased. Clean it and grease it if
necessary.
4. Turn the chuck locking sleeve counterclockwise and hold it in this position.
5. Push the saw blade into the chuck from in front.
6. Release the locking sleeve and allow it to move back to its original position.
7. Grip and pull the saw blade to check that it is locked in position.
5.4
Fitting the belt hook (optional)
WARNING
Risk of injury. A falling power tool may present a risk of injury to yourself and others.
▶ Check that the belt hook is fitted securely before beginning work.
The belt hook allows the power tool to be attached to a belt worn by the operator. The belt hook can
be fitted to allow attachment on the left or right side of the body.
1. Remove the battery.
2. Insert the belt hook into the opening provided at the base of the product.
3. Use the 2 screws to attach the belt hook and make sure that the screws are driven fully (countersunk
head flush).
