Step 5.
Layer of gravel100
The drainage pipe is installed onto the film which is inserted on one side into the venting pipe and into the
drain pipe on the opposite side. The drainage pipe is surrounded with a layer of gravel (grain size 10 – 40
mm). This layer must also cover the drainage pipe.
Step 6.
Geogrid
The geogrid is installed above the layer of gravel across the entire surface of the soil.
Step 7.
Sand
500
A sand layer of 500 mm is applied to the geogrid and drained off. The sand must not be unloaded directly
into the pit. The sand must be chosen based on the following grain-size distribution curve.
