• For some individuals, excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones may cause hearing
loss.
• Do not use this product in a potentially explosive atmosphere.
• Ensure that the hearing protectors are regularly inspected for serviceability.
• This hearing protector is provided with level-dependent attenuation. The wearer should check correct
operation before use. If disortion or failure is deteced, the wearer should refer to the manufacturers advice
for maintenance and replacement of the battery.
• Warning! Performance may deteriote with battery usage. The typical period of continuous use that can be
expected from the hearing protector is 62/56 hours.
• Warning! The output of the level-dependent circuit of this hearing protector may exceed the external sound
level.
Headband (pic. C)
• Adjust the protector to its largest size and put it on your head.
• Adjust the band so that the protector rests lightly against the crown of your head.
Helmet/Cap mount (pic. D)
• Push the helmet mount into the helmet's slot attachment until it snaps into place.
• Place the earmuffs over the ears and press inwards until you hear a click. Adjust the earmuffs so that
the helmet fits comfortably on your head.
Care
Clean with mild soap. You must be sure that the detergent you use does not irritate the skin. The hearing
protector must be stored dry and clean, e.g. in its original packaging. Do not dip the product in water!
After use in wet conditions, wipe the hearing protector with a dry cloth and remove the batteries.
Warning!
If the instructions above are not followed, the noise attenuation could drastically decrease.
The hearing protector must always be used in noisy environments to provide full protection effect!
Only 100% wear time provides full protection.
USER INSTRUCTIONS FOR FM RADIO, LEVEL DEPENDENT & EXT. AUDIO INPUT
FM Radio
The hearing protector features level-limiting of audio signals from the speakers to maximum 82 dB(A) at the
ear. Remember to adjust the volume when working in noisy environments so that any warning signals etc.
can be heard.
On/Off Volume Radio
Turn the dial (A:10) to switch on the radio. Continue turning clockwise to increase the volume.
In the event of poor reception conditions, the radio automatically switches from stereo to mono mode to
maintain optimal audio quality.
Frequency/channel selector
Turn the dial (A:11) to choose radio stations. The radio's frequency range is FM 88-108 MHz..
Level Dependent "Active listening"
The hearing protector is equipped with Level Dependent "Active listening". If interference or faults occur,
consult the manufacturer's instructions on maintenance and battery replacement.
Warning! The sound from the Level Dependent "Active listening" on the hearing protector can exceed the
external noise level.
On/Off Volume Level Dependent function
Turn the dial (A:12) to turn on the active listening microphones. Continue to turn clockwise to increase the
volume. Check that the function is operable before using the unit in a noisy environment.
Level Dependent + Radio (A:12, A:10)
Both functions have individual volume control. Adjust the volume to the desired level.
External audio input (A:13)
The hearing protector is equipped with an electronic audio input. You can connect a com-radio or other
external audio source to the 3.5 mm audio input via the included connection cable (B:6). Check that the
function is operable before using the unit. If interference or faults occur, consult the manufacturer.
