FIRST USE

1.
Before first use, we recommend
cleaning the non-stick waffle pla-
tes with a damp cloth.
2.
Close the appliance and connect
the plug to a wall socket (230 V~,
50 Hz). The red control lamp
lights up and indicates that the
heating is operational.
Set temperature regulator to stage
4-5 and the preheating begins. As
soon as the required temperature
is reached, the control light swit-
ches off.
3.
Heat the appliance up for a couple
of minutes without dough, in order
to eliminate possible manufac-
turing residues. Make sure the
room is well ventilated during this
process. After the initial heating

USING THE APPLIANCE

1.
Place the batter – best with a
scoop – in the middle of the lower
baking plates. When the appli-
ance is closed, the batter spreads
out uniformly. If you fill with too
little batter, the upper part of the
appliance does not lie properly;
the upper side of the waffle will
then not become as brown as
the lower side. If you fill with too
much batter, the batter runs out
and soils the appliance.
2.
Close the appliance immediately
after filling with batter, so that the
waffles will become equally brown
above and below.

process the appliance might show
signs of wear, which do not affect
its features and do not constitute
a reason for rejection.
4.
Before first use, slightly grease
both waffle plates with heat resis-
tant grease like margarine, for
example, using a pastry brush (as
the waffle plates are non-stick
coated, greasing is only necessary
before the very first use).
5.
The appliance may generate a
slight smell when first using it,
which is absolutely normal.
6.
The first waffle should not be used
and should be thrown away.
3.
A few seconds after the batter has
been filled, the control lamp turns
on; the baking process begins.
4.
The desired degree of browning
can be achieved with the con-
tinuously adjustable temperature
regulator. With a low setting, you
obtain lighter and with higher set-
ting darker waffles. All degrees of
browning are in the continuous
intermediate range.
5.
When the baking process has been
completed, the control lamp swit-
ches off and shows, that the waff-
les are ready. The heating is inter-
rupted. If the waffles are too light
