8. Maintenance and cleaning

Check the technical safety of your soldering device on a regular basis, e.g. for any potential
damage of the power cable or the housing.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer ensured, the device must be put out
of operation and secured against unintentional operation. The power supply plug has to be
pulled out of the electrical outlet!
It has to be assumed that a safe operation is no longer ensured, if
• the device is visibly damaged,
• the device is no longer working and
• after being stored under adverse conditions, or
• heavy stress during transport.
Any repairs may only be performed by the manufacturer or its customer service.
Warning!
The battery charger must be disconnected from the power supply during the
performance of any maintenance work or when parts are replaced. This will
be done by pulling out the power supply plug. The operator must be able to
monitor the power supply plug from any place to which he/she has access to
in order to ensure that it is still removed.
When cleaning the device, it is sufficient to use a dry cloth and/or a soft brush in order to
remove dust and other contaminations.
