the setup menu of the panels BEFORE
installing, especially when the panels will be
used in standalone or master/slave mode! In
some cases it will be difficult to do these things
while everything is installed!
Attention: DO NOT touch the RGB-LEDs!
Electrostatic discharges could destroy the
LEDs!
7. Now add more panels but make sure that the
panels are well aligned and that you are still
able to remove the panels separately if needed for servicing!
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION + ADDRESSING
Important: The electrical installation should be carried out by qualified personal only,
according to the regulations for electrical and mechanical safety in your country.
To keep the diagrams below simple, we only indicate the DMX-cabling. Of course all
panels should be connected to the mains as well! When several panels are used, we
advice using optional IEC male/female power cables to daisy chain the power in/outlets of
up to 32 units. The IEC-cables are available in 1meter (order code = 4151) and 5meter
(order code = 4152)
Electrical installation for 1 standalone unit:
In the setup menu go to the option "Set" and choose "1-1"
Just insert the mains cable. The unit starts working immediately in stand-alone mode.
Remark1: You can connect a RF-8 remote controller to the unit if you want to have more control. Refer to
"how to operate the unit" to learn how to do this.
Remark2: if there's no output, please make sure to set the unit in master mode and set the blackout mode
to "NO" and Sound State to "On" (see previous chapter)
Electrical installation for 4 units in master/slave:
In this mode the units will show a synchronized show, working to the rhythm of the beat.
Connect 4 units together using good quality
balanced microphone cables.
Check the drawing for the exact order and
cabling of the panels (attention: drawing
shows the backside of the panels, mounted
with the displays facing down!). The first unit in
the chain will automatically act as the master,
the other units will act automatically as slaves.
In the setup menu go to the option "Set" and
choose "2-2"
Make sure that all units are connected to the
mains.
Done!
Remark: You can connect a RF-8 remote
controller to the master unit if you want to have
more control over the master/slave operation
Remark2: if there's no output, please make sure
to set the first unit in master mode and set the
blackout mode to "NO" and Sound State to "On" (see previous chapter)
Connect an optional LEDCON-02 controller for more control:
The LEDCON-02 controller can only be used in standalone or master/slave mode. Connect the controller to
the DMX-input of the first unit (master). Make sure that the LED QUADRO PANELS are all set to 4CH DMX-
mode. Now you can control all the connected units in 4 or 8channel mode. Refer to the user manual of the
LEDCON-02 controller for more information and automatic addressing.
Remark: you can connect more than 4 units if you like but please follow the setup diagrams for the DMX-
cabling.

Electrical installation for 16 units in master/slave:
In this mode the units will show a synchronized show, working to the rhythm
of the beat.
Connect 16 units together using good quality balanced microphone
cables.
Check the drawing for the exact order and cabling of the panels
(attention: drawing shows the front side of the panels, mounted with
the displays facing down!). The first unit in the chain (named "M") will
act as the master; the other units will act automatically as slaves.
In the setup menu go to the option "Set" and choose "4-4"
Make sure that all units are connected to the mains.
Done!
Remark: You can connect a RF-8 remote controller to the master unit if
you want to have more control over the master/slave operation
Remark2: if there's no output, please make sure to set the first unit in master mode and set the blackout
mode to "NO" and Sound State to "On" (see previous chapter)
Electrical installation for 4 or 16 units in DMX-master/slave:
In this mode the units will show a synchronized show, working to the rhythm of the beat but you can still
control some functions on the master by 2 DMX-channels.
To assure proper operation you need
an
optional "Mini
DMX-SPLITTER"
(order code: 4630) to isolate the
master/slave line from the main DMX-
line, see drawing.
Connect 4 or 16 units together using
good
quality
balanced
microphone
cables. The first unit in the chain will
act as the master, the other units will
act automatically as slaves.
Set the master to 2MSL channel mode
(see previous chapter).
For the DMX-controller the master and
his slaves can now be considered as 1 virtual effect that needs a start address so it can be controlled as
any other DMX-unit in the DMX chain: see "DMX Address" in the chapter "Main Menu" to see how you
can set the DMX-start address.
Make sure that all units are connected to the mains.
Set the DMX-controller according to the DMX-chart below.
Done!
Remark: in order to work well to the rhythm of the music, make sure that the option "Sound State" on the
master is set to "On" (see previous chapter)
