5 % (display flashes)
► Confirm error display by pressing the Enter key.
When a fault occurs first check whether the
temperature sensor is electrically and
mechanically correctly installed and try to
eliminate the causes of the error (see table).
If the faults cannot be cleared using the listed
actions, immediately place the temperature
sensor out of service, protect against
unintended startup and contact the
manufacturer.

english
Possible cause
Cable break
Excessive mechanical stress
No or incorrect auxiliary power
Wiring error
Process temperature outside the
measuring range
Sensor drift from over-temperature sensor
break/short circuit
Sensor drift from chemical attach
Wrong installation geometry, too little
installation depth and too high heat
dissipation
Deposits on the sensor
Auxiliary power too high/low
Moisture penetrated
Action
Check continuity
Replace element with appropriate version
Correct auxiliary power
Check wiring configuration
Check temperature range
Return unit to manufacturer
Check media compatibility
Bring temperature sensitive area of the
sensor into the medium
Remove deposits
Correct auxiliary power
Install cable correctly
