6. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1) There is no current:
a) Check that the meter is plugged in.
2) Low reading on the chlorine production indicator.
a) Insufficient salt level in the pool.
b) Electrodes need to be cleaned.
c) Electrodes worn down.
3) The residual chlorine in the pool is low:
a) Chlorinator is not working long enough.
b) The level of the chlorine stabilizer is too low.
c) The electrodes need to be cleaned.
d) The Ph of the water is too high.
Note: In situations where low chlorine is detected, the chlorinator can be
very quickly tested by taking a water sample from the skimmer box and
conducting a chlorine test. Then conduct a chlorine test by taking a water sample
from the eyeball return. The chlorine reading from the pool eyeball should be
considerably higher than in the skimmer box at least 1%.
