7. OPERATION

CONNECTING TO THE GAS BOTTLE

PRECAUTIONS WHEN CONNECTING TO THE GAS BOTTLE

This plancha barbecue is for use with LPG bottled gas (liquid petroleum gas).
Always install, transport, and store gas bottles in their upright position.
Ensure that the gas is turned off.
Confirm all barbecue control knobs are in the off position.
Connect the regulator to the gas hose. Connect the gas hose to the designated gas inlet. Do not over tighten. The hose should
hang freely with no bends, twisting, tension, folds, or kinks that could obstruct free flow of gas.
Replace the gas hose whenever required by national standards.
The length of a flexible gas hose should not exceed 1.5 meters. The hose must be suitable to the gas and pressure performed by
the regulator.
The regulator supplies gas with a pressure of 28/30mbar in case of butane gas, and with 37mbar when used with propane to the
plancha barbecue in these countries of use: BE, ES, FR, IE, IT, PT, GB, CH.
The regulator supplies gas with a pressure of 50mbar in both cases butane or propane gas to the plancha barbecue in these coun-
tries of use: DE, AT, CH .
Change gas bottle far from any source of inflammation.
Check for leaks by brushing a solution of ½ water and ½ liquid detergent / soap over all the gas system joints, including the gas
bottle valve connection, hose connections, and regulator connections. If bubbles form, the gas should be immediately turned off
at the bottle.
