Troubleshooting / Fault tracing
Problem/Situation
• The appliance does
not start the boiling
process, the operating
light is off.
• The appliance starts
the boiling process
immediately, even
before I press the on/
off switch.
• There are drops of
water underneath the
device.
Possible malfunction
source
• The kettle is turned off
• The kettle is cooling
down after the last
boiling procedure
(cooling-off time ca. 1
min)
• The plug connector is
not plugged in
• Power blackout
• The on/off switch is
still on.

What to do?
• Check the kettle is
connected to an wor-
king power socket
• If the appliance is
connected to the
power supply, ensure
that the connection is
intact.
• If you boiled water
shortly before the
kettle has to cool down
for approximately 1
minutes
• Continue as described
in „Before first use"
chapter, item 4.
• This is no reason for
concern, since this is
normal condensation.
