WARNING - The machine, when used correctly, is a
useful and effective tool; if used improperly or without
the due precautions it could become a dangerous tool.
For pleasant and safe work,always strictly comply with
the safety rules that follow and throughout this manual.
WARNING: The power supply system on your unit
produces a very low-intensity electromagnetic field.
This field could interfere with certain pacemakers.
To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, persons
with pacemakers should consult their doctor or the
manufacturer of the pacemaker before using this
machine.
WARNING! – National regulations could limit use
of the machine.
1 - Do not operate the machine unless you have received
specific instruction on its use. First time users must
familiarise themselves thoroughly with the operation of
the machine before working in the field.
2 - Keep this manual on hand and consult it before each use
of the tool.
3 - Th e lawn trimmer must only be used by adults, and
users must be in good physical shape and familiar with
the operating instructions. Do not use the lawn trimmer
under conditions of physical fatigue or if you have taken
alcohol, drugs or medication (Fig. 1).
4 - Hand over or lend the lawn trimmer only to expert
persons who know how to operate and use the machine
correctly. Give them also the handbook with the operating
instructions, to be read before starting work.
5 - Wear appropriate clothing and safety articles such as:

boots, heavy-duty trousers, gloves, protective eyewear,
ear protection and protective helmet. Use clothing which
is close-fi tting but comfortable (look pag. 16-17).
5 - Do not allow other people to remain within 15 metres
during lawn trimmer use (Fig. 2).
7 - Do not use any cutting tool or attachment that is not
explicity recommended for this machine (look pag. 39).
Fit the cutting apparatus before plugging in to the mains
(Fig. 3).
8 - Check that the voltage and frequency indicated on the
plate of the lawn trimmer correspond to those of the
mains supply (look pag. 4).
9 - Do not use cables, plugs or extensions that are defective
or that do not comply with relative standards.
10 - Use neoprene or double insulated extension cables with
safety plugs suitable for outside use.
11 - Remove the plug from the mains immediately if the
cables is damaged or cut (Fig. 4).
12 - Connection to the electricity supply must be made in
such a way to prevent damage by and to people and
vehicles.
13 - Make sure that the cable is well out of the way of the
nylon head operation range and is never stretched out.
Never cut in the vicinity of other electrical cables.
14 - Always disconnect from the mains before carryng out
any maintenance or handling (Fig. 3).
15 - Do not use the lawn trimmer in explosive or infl ammable
atmospheres (Fig. 5).
16 - Never use the lawn trimmer without the nylon head
blade guard.
17 - Do not expose the lawn trimmer to rain or conditions
of high humidity (Fig. 5).
18 - Do not start the engine with the arm not mounted.

19 - Do not use the lawn trimmer to cut anything other than
grass.
20 - Never work with a lawn trimmer that is damaged, poorly
repaired, or randomly modifi ed. Do not remove, damage,
or disactivate any of the safety devices.
21 - Check the lawn trimmer daily to be sure that components
and safety devices are full functioning properly.
22 - Do not attempt to carry out operations or repairs that are
not part of the normal maintenance. See the authorised
dealer.
23 - It is prohibited to fi t any device other than that supplied
by the manufacturer.
24 - All labels with health hazards must be kept in good
conditions. In case of damage or deterioration,
immediately substitute them (see pag.4-5).
25 - Do not utilize the machine for uses different from the
ones specified in the manual (see pag. 24).
26 - Please note that the owner or the user is responsible
for any accidents or damage to third parties or their
property.
27 - If it is necessary to disable the lawn trimmer, do not
leave it lying around but take it to your dealer who will
dispose of it properly.
28 - Always call your dealer for any clarifi cation or priority
action.
29 - Th is appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a persons responsible
for their safety. Children should be supervised to censure
that they do not play with the appliance.
