Cleaning and maintenance

We recommend decalcifying the steam tank as described in the following table. The decalcifying intervals can vary
depending on the water hardness. Please observe the following table.

05.01 Decalcifying the steam tank

1. Switch unit off.
2. Open drain cock and empty unit. Caution hot! (Fig. 1)
3. Close drain cock again (Fig. 1).
4. Remove cap of funnel tube (Fig. 1).
5. Add 250 ml decalcifying fluid (Fig. 2).

6. Fill the steam bath set manually with approx. 2.5 litres.
7. Screw cap of funnel tube back on (Fig. 3).
8. Switch unit on.
9. Switch steam on.
10. Wait until steam becomes visible at the steam nozzle.
11. Switch unit off again.
12. Wait for approx. 15 minutes to allow fluid to act.
13. Open drain cock and empty unit. Caution hot! (Fig. 3)
14. Close drain cock (Fig. 3).
Repeat steps 6 to 14. Caution! Since the unit is still hot, be careful when opening and filling.

05.02 Fragrance dosage

Aromatic essences may only be added to the tank located on the steam nozzle.
Since scent extracts available in stores contain alcohol, only HOESCH scent
extracts may be used.
We will reject any claims on warranty if other scent extracts are used.
Be careful about direct skin contact near the steam outlet.
This can cause scalding!
