DANGER
Hazard due to electrical current!
Do not use the appliance if the

mains cord or plug are damaged.
Do not open the housing of the
►
appliance under any circum-
stances. If energised connec-
tions are touched or the electrical
or mechanical configuration is
changed, there is a risk of electri-
cal shock.
Never immerse the motor block
►
or the mains plug in water or
other liquids.
Unplug the mains plug from the
►
socket in the following situations:
before mounting/removing the
–
attachments
before cleaning the appliance
–
When the appliance is not in
–
use
When there is a malfunction of
–
the appliance during operation.
Always pull the power supply

cord out of the mains socket by
the plug and not by the mains
cord itself.
Never carry, lift or move the ap-
►
pliance by the mains cord.
Risk of suffocation due to packaging
material!
Ensure that no children play with
►
the packaging material.
WARNING
Hazard due to moving components!
Always pull the mains plug
►
before assembling, dismantling,
cleaning or storing the appliance.

Only operate the appliance when
►
the attachment body is mounted
and locked in place.
Risk of injury due to sharp blades!
Do not touch the blades of the
►
mincing knife.
Never put your fingers or any
►
other object into the feeding
chute. Only use the pusher to
add foods. Never use your fin-
gers or other objects.
Only operate the appliance with
►
the attachment body mounted.
CAUTION
► Allow the appliance to cool down and
then when processing for longer
periods of time to avoid overheating.
► Only operate the reversing button (7)
for a maximum of 10 seconds (see
the chapter Clearing blockages
(page 15) because otherwise the
motor could be damaged.
► Only operate the reversing button
after the drive motor has come to a
complete standstill.

Overload protection

The motor is protected from overload by a
thermal protection switch. It automatically
shuts off when there is an overload. In this
case, do the following:
1. Unplug the appliance.
2. Let the appliance cool down.
3. Press the motor protection switch
(red pushbutton on the bottom of
the appliance).
4. Plug the appliance back in to start
working again.
