4. Operation

Before operating the jacks, the operating staff (i.e.
all persons who are responsible for performing lifting
and transport work) must read this entire manual. All
instructions related to lifting also apply analogously to
lowering of a load.

4.1 Requirements for the setup site

The floor space of the jack must be level, clean,
horizontal, slip-proof and have sufficient load-bearing
capacity for the load to be lifted. The jack must be
stable.
The load to be lifted must be statically rigid and
tilt-proof. The area where the jack holds the load must
be suitable for this purpose – in particular, it must be
sufficiently large, stable and slip-proof. The area should
be sufficiently large means that it is not allowed to
exert load only at certain points of the area on the jack
used for lifting (i.e., lifting claw and head plate).

4.2 Setup and dismantling

Setup is shown here using the JH 10 G plus jack as an
example.
WARNING
When working with and when transporting the jack,
there is a risk of crushing injuries. Wear protective
clothing and always carry the jack by its handle.

> Swing the swivel feet (9) forward on both sides.
> Insert bracket (3) up to the desired slider hole and
fasten with the toe (2).
> Stick in the pump lever (4).
