Installing or removing battery cartridge
(Fig. 2)
CAUTION:
• Always switch off the tool before installing or removing
of the battery cartridge.
• Hold the tool and the battery cartridge firmly when
installing or removing battery cartridge. Failure to
hold the tool and the battery cartridge firmly may cause
them to slip off your hands and result in damage to the
tool and battery cartridge and a personal injury.
To remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the tool while
sliding the button on the front of the cartridge.
To install the battery cartridge align the tongue on the
battery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slip it
into the place. Insert it all the way until it locks in place
with a little click. If you can see the red indicator on the
upper side of the button, it is not locked completely.
CAUTION:
• Always install the battery cartridge fully until the red
indicator cannot be seen. If not, it may accidentally fall
out of the tool, causing injury to you or someone
around you.
• Do not install the battery cartridge forcibly. If the
cartridge does not slide in easily, it is not being inserted
correctly.
Battery protection system
The tool is equipped with a battery protection system. This
system automatically cuts off power to the motor to extend
battery life.
The tool will automatically stop during operation if the tool
and/or battery are placed under one of the following
conditions:
• Overloaded:
The tool is operated in a manner that causes it to
draw an abnormally high current.
In this situation, release the switch trigger on the tool
and stop the application that caused the tool to
become overloaded. Then pull the switch trigger
again to restart.
If the tool does not start, the battery is overheated. In
this situation, let the battery cool before pulling the
switch trigger again.
• Low battery voltage:
The remaining battery capacity is too low and the tool
will not operate. If you pull the switch trigger, the
motor runs again but stops soon. In this situation,
remove and recharge the battery.
Switch action
CAUTION:
• Before inserting the battery cartridge into the tool,
always check to see that the switch trigger actuates
properly and returns to the "OFF" position when
released.
To start the tool, simply pull the switch trigger. Release
the switch trigger to stop. (Fig. 3)
ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the
battery cartridge is removed before carrying out any
work on the tool.
Disposing of dust
CAUTION:
• Empty the cleaner before it becomes too full, or the
suction force weakens.
• Be sure to empty out the dust inside the cleaner itself.
Failure to do so may cause the filter to be clogged or
the motor to be damaged.
In order to drop dust sticking on the filter in the capsule,
tap the circumference of the capsule 4 or 5 times with
your hand. (Fig. 4)
Now point suction inlet downwards, turn capsule in
direction of arrow in diagram, and disconnect capsule
slowly and straight. (Fig. 5)
NOTE:
• Dust may spill out when opening capsule. Be sure to
keep capsule as vertical as possible, and place a
garbage bag beneath capsule.
Remove accumulated dust from inside of capsule and off
of prefilter. (Fig. 6)
Twist prefilter in direction of arrow to unfasten securing lip
from cleaner unit and then pull off prefilter. (Fig. 7)
Clean out fine dust from prefilter. Next, remove filter, and
lightly tap to dislodge dust. (Fig. 8)
Reassembly
First, put filter without being peeled back. If filter is put on
incorrectly, dust will get into motor housing, and cause
motor failure. Second, put prefilter over filter. (Fig. 9)
Turn the set of filters, and adjust the position of the two
securing lips on prefilter, and connect with the gutters of
the cleaner housing. (Fig. 10)
Connect capsule, in accordance with alignment marks on
handle and capsule, firmly twist capsule in direction of
arrow until it is secured. (Fig. 11 & 12)
NOTE:
• Always remove dust ahead of time, as suction power
will be reduced if there is too much dust in cleaner.
• Always be sure to check that both filter and prefilter are
loaded correctly prior to using cleaner. If they are not
loaded correctly, dust will get into the motor housing,
and cause motor failure.
OPERATION
CAUTION:
• Insert (or extract) nozzle while twisting it clockwise. If
twisted counterclockwise, capsule may become loose.
(Fig. 13)
Cleaning (Suction)
Nozzle (Fig. 14)
Attach the nozzle to clean off tables, desks, furniture, etc.
Nozzle slips on easily.
