Replace batteries only with batteries of the same type and with correct polarity. Otherwise there is a risk
the system may explode.
•
In the following cases, unplug the device and contact a qualified service:
•
The power cord was damaged
•
The device was infiltrated by a foreign object or liquid, or it was exposed to rain or water.
•
The appliance does not operate normally in accordance with the manual. Set only the elements
described in the operating manual.
•
The device has significant functionality changes, indicating a need for service.
•
Do not expose the device to heat sources such as radiators, heating or other heat-producing appliances
such as amplifiers.
•
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the responsible authority can lead to loss of
authorization to use the device.
•
Excessive sound pressure from earphones can cause hearing damage.
OPERATION
Turning the device on
•
Set the device on a flat, stable surface, with controls easily accessible.
•
Ensure adequate ventilation of the device.
Power (mains):
•
Connect the supplied power cord (can be stored in the battery compartment) to the AC ~ jack on the rear
panel and the other end of the cord insert into an electrical outlet that is properly installed.
•
Make sure that the voltage corresponds to the voltage on the nameplate.
Power (batteries):
(not included)
•
Open the cover of the battery compartment and insert 4 batteries R14 1,5V. Observe the correct battery
polarity as indicated on the bottom of the battery compartment.
•
Close the cover of the battery compartment.
•
If the device is not used for long periods, remove the batteries to prevent battery leakage.
CAUTION
•
Do not expose batteries to excessive heat, such as in direct sunlight, near a fire, etc. There
is danger of explosion.
•
Do not combine together different types of batteries or new and old batteries.
•
Do not throw batteries into normal household waste. Take the batteries to a designated
collection place.
Note:
When you connect the power cord, the batteries are automatically disconnected.
Headphones jack
Use headphones with s 3,5 mm connector. Plug the headphones connector into the jack marked with symbol
. When you connect headphones, the speaker of the device automatically shuts off.
Turning the device on and volume control
•
Turn the device on by turning the VOLUME control (7) to MIN position. The indicator (6) lights up.
•
Turn the device off by turning the VOLUME (7) control to OFF position. When the device is not used, unplug
it.
•
Set the volume to desired level by turning the VOLUME (7) control.
Listening to the radio
1.
Using the bandswitch (3) Select the desired waveband.
FM: Short wave, AM: medium wave, LW: long wave.
