Replacing/Inserting the Saw Blade
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
Wear protective gloves when changing cut-
ting tools. Cutting tools become hot after pro-
longed usage.
For all work on the power tool, attach the saw
blade guard 8 to the saw blade.
Selecting a Saw Blade
With the saw blade guide offset, the
fine cutting saw blade is suitable for
cuts greater than the width of the saw
blade. It is also intended to be used
together with the cross-cutting table.
The flush cutting saw blade allows
for cuts flush to a backing. Cuts can
only be carried out as deep as the saw
blade is wide.
Inserting the Saw Blade (see figures A—C)
If required, both the flush cutting as well as the fine cut-
ting saw blade can be inserted into the power tool in
two positions turned by 180°. Before inserting, turn the
saw blade to the required direction of cut (see the fig-
ures on the fold-out page).
Insert the hook 13 on the saw blade into the hook 9 of
the saw blade holder.
Pivot the saw blade 7 toward the saw blade holder 10.
Push the saw blade against the holder so that the cam
12 on the saw blade latches into the groove 11 on the
SDS lever.

Push the saw blade 7 back and forth in the saw blade
guide 1 until the saw blade driving pin 2 can clearly be
heard to engage in the saw blade. After engaging, the
saw blade can no longer be moved in the saw blade
guide 1.
Check the tight seating of the saw blade. A
loose saw blade can fall out and lead to injuries.
Only remove the saw blade guard 8 for sawing.
Removint the Saw Blade
Attach the saw blade guard 8 onto the saw blade 7.
Push the SDS clamping lever 6 of the saw blade release.
The saw blade latching cam 12 pops out of the groove
11 of the lever. Remove the saw blade to the rear.
Operation
Starting Operation
Observe correct mains voltage! The voltage of
the power source must agree with the voltage
specified on the nameplate of the machine.
Power tools marked with 230 V can also be
operated with 220 V.
Switching On and Off
To start the machine, push the On/Off switch 4 for-
wards.
To lock the On/Off switch 4, additionally push down
the front of the switch.
To switch off the machine, release the On/Off switch
4. When the On/Off switch is locked, press on the rear
of the switch and then release it.
Controlling/Presetting the Stroke Rate
With the thumbwheel for stroke rate preselection 5, the
stroke rate can be preset and changed during operation.
Material
Softwood
Hardwood
Plastic
The required stroke rate is dependent on the material
and the working conditions and can be determined by
a practical trial.
Reduce the stroke rate when positioning the saw blade
onto the workpiece.
