• CARELESS ASSEMBLY WILL UNDOUBTEDLY LEAD TO
PROBLEMS
Mount the components in the order indicated in the separate
parts list. The parts marked with (!) require special attention in
the assembly instructions.
Before mounting the components on the PCB, check that the
PCB fits into its housing. Be careful of the small ridge next to
LD1. If it does not fit then the edge of the PCB can be lightly
sanded down using fine sandpaper.
1. Mount the jumper, J.
2. 1/4W resistors.
3. Diodes and zener diodes. Check for correct polarity.
4. Coil (looks like a resistor).
5. Push-button switches. Mount against the PCB.
6. Trimmer capacitor.
7. IC socket.
8. Capacitors.
9. Transistor. Take care regarding the maximum height.
10.LED. Mount at the height indicated.
11.Mount the battery holder. Check for good attachment of the
solder to the connection points.
12.Mount the IC in its socket. Check the position of the ridge.
13.Setting the code:
you can select your own code for a transmitter/receiver
combination. There is a 9 row jumper island located directly
next to IC1 for setting the code. The code is set by connecting
one or more code points to a neighbouring + or - point using
the small jumpers. Code points may also be left unconnected
(open): see figure.
a) No connection.
b) Code point connected to -.
c) Code point connected to + (note certain points cannot be
connected to +).
The transmitter is now ready for final tuning.
