Auxiliary handle
We recommend woking with an auxiliary
handle [5-1] to ensure a safe, non-tiring
working posture.
Attaching the auxiliary handle [5]
► Attach the auxiliary handle [5-1] to the neck
of the gear housing.
► Turn the grip anticlockwise until the auxili
ary handle [5-1] is secured in position.

Depth stop
The drilling depth can be adjusted us
ing the depth stop [5-2].
Attaching the depth stop [5-2]
► Unscrew the auxiliary handle [5-1] by turn
ing the grip anticlockwise.
► Insert the depth stop [5-2] in the auxiliary
handle [5-1].
► Pull out the depth stop [5-2] until the dis
tance between the tip of the drill and the tip
of the depth stop corresponds to the desired
drilling depth.
► Tighten the grip on the auxiliary han
dle [5-1] again.

Extraction
Please observe the safety regulations applica
ble in your country for dust. The relevant limit
values must be observed at the workstation. A
dust extractor may be required for correspond
ing dust exposure and depending on regula
tions. Festool offers a drilling dust nozzle in the
accessories system.
Use drill dust collection nozzle [6]
The drill dust collection nozzle has a patented
dual-chamber system for clean drilling and a
secure hold on floors, walls and ceilings.

If the extractor has an automatic filter
cleaning system this must be deacti
vated.
► Put it on the wall, floor or ceiling.
► Connect the dust extractor and switch it on.
The drill dust collection nozzle clings to the
surface.
► Place rotary hammer.

10 Working with the machine
10.1 On/Off switch [1-4]
Press = ON, release = OFF
The speed of the machine depends on
how far the on/off switch is pressed
in.
10.2 Belt clip [1-6]
The belt clip (right/left) allows the user to at
tach the machine briefly to work clothing.

Acoustic warning signals sound and the power
tool switches off in the following operating
