Starting up the appliance

▪ Fill the pot with the desired amount of oil or stock (bouillon). Do not overfill the fondue pot, the
content should be between the MIN 0,8l and MAX 1,2l.
▪ Place the heating base on a level, heat-insulted and grease-resistant surface.
▪ Place the pot on the heating base, put the splash guard ring with fork holders on the pot and plug
in the appliance. The LED ring at the control knob will light up in the colour white.
▪ Turn the temperature control knob to the highest level. During heating up the LED ring illuminates
in the colour red.
Notice: For a quick heating up you can also place the fondue pot on a ceramic or induction hob.
Please note: The pot is not intended for regular cooking on a ceramic or induction hob.
▪ Preheat the oil or stock for about 20 minutes before you put in the ingredients like meat, fish or
vegetables.
▪ The ingredients for the fondue should be cut into bite-size pieces or slices before.
▪ As soon as the temperature reaches the set temperature, the LED ring is lit
white.
▪ You can now load the food that you want to cook onto the forks and hang
them over the pot. Use a „parking station" / holder in the lid for each fork.
First insert the fork with the lower thinner part of the stick into the holder.
Now let the fork slide down until it stops.
▪ Allow the food to cook in the pot according to the desired cooking time.
Note: Brews and oils must not start to bubble or must only simmer gently. Turn down the temperature
slightly if necessary.
▪ After using the appliance always turn the thermostat counterclockwise back until it stops discon-
nect the appliance from the mains.
▪ Let the appliance cool down completely and clean as described in chapter „Cleaning and mainte-
nance".
Important instructions when using fondue with oil:
▪ Only ever use fresh oil.
▪ Do not mix different oils together.
▪ Never add water to the oil or to any kind of fat.
▪ Do not add mixed herbs or spices to the oil.
▪ We recommend using sunflower oil, groundnut oil or vegetable-based fat.
▪ Do not use flavoured oils with additives (example: grape seeds or mixed herbs).
If the fondue pot has been washed, it must be rinsed and dried well before it is used again.
Keeping meals warm
Basically any kind of pan or heat resisting bowls can be placed on the heating base in order to keep
meals and sauces warm. Please adjust temperature to lower level.

Cleaning and care

Remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning. For reasons
of electrical safety, the hotplate and power cord should not be treated with liquids and should never be
immersed. Do not pour used fat or oil in a sink. The cold fat may be discarded with the domestic refuse.
The stainless steel pot can be cleaned in hot soapy water or in the dishwasher. Clean the lid and the forks
in warm soapy water. Dry all accessories thoroughly afterwards.
