chutewith light oil once a season.

Release Rod- Lubricatethe releaserodand springwith lightoil
oncea season.
CLEAN

Washbag periodicallywith water.Allowto dry thoroughlyin
shade.

If the flail screenbecomesclogged,removeand cleanas
instructedbelow.
NOTE:Cleaningwith a forcefulspray of wateris not recommended as
it couldcontaminatethefuel system.
REMOVING
THE FLAIL SCREEN
Beforeperforming any type of maintenanceon the machine wait for
all partsto stop movingand disconnectthe spark plugwire. Failure
to followthis instructioncouldresult in personalinjuryor property
damage.
If the dischargearea becomesclogged,removethe flail screenand
cleanarea as follows:
Stopthe engine.Makecertainthe chippershredderhascome to
a completestop.
Disconnectsparkplug wirefrom spark plug and groundagainst
the engine.
A. Removethe bagand two wingknobson each sideof thechute
deflector.See Figure14.

B. Lift the chutedeflectorup to keepit out of the way.
C. Removethetwo hairpinclips fromeach clevispin which
extendthroughthe housingand removepins.
D. Removetheshredderscreenfrom insidethe housingand
cleanthe screenby scraping or washingwithwater.See Fig. 14.
4. Reinstall t he screen,makingcertain to reassemblethe flail screen
with the curve sidedown.
5. Reattachthechute deflectorwith the hardwarepreviouslyremoved
and connectthe bagto unit.
