4.7 Attaching the grass catcher box

Risk of injury:
Owing to the safety devices
installed on the machine, the grass
catcher box must be fitted even
when the mulch insert is installed.
The machine cannot be started, or
the engine cuts out if the grass
catcher box is not fitted.

5. Removing
The original mowing function (grass
collection in the grass catcher box; see
machine instruction manual) is prepared
for by removing AMK 082 (mulch insert
and mulching blade).
5.1 Removing the mowing deck
See instruction manual

5.2 Removing the mulching blade

Removal of the mulching blade is
identical to removal of the mowing
blade.
See instruction manual MR 4082,
MR 4082 K (section "Mowing blade
maintenance").

5.3 Removing the mulch insert

Clean the mulch insert and mowing
deck thoroughly before removing.
● Lift the mowing deck and position it so
that it is possible to reach the underside
of the mowing deck with the hand.
● Unscrew the nuts (E). Hold the mulch
insert (A) and remove the nuts (E),
washers (1) and screws (2). Remove
the mulch insert (A) and mowing deck
ejection chute (3).
Risk of injury:
For reasons of safety, the mowing
deck ejection chute (3) must
always be correctly installed after
removal of the mulch insert.
● Install the mowing deck ejection chute.

5.4 Installing the mowing deck

For reasons of safety, the mowing
deck ejection chute must be
correctly installed after removal of
the mulch insert.
The specified tightening torque of
3 - 4 Nm must be precisely
observed.
Clean the mowing deck thoroughly
before installing the mowing deck
ejection chute.
● Lift the mowing deck, place on its side
and lean it against a wall. Ensure that
the mowing deck is in a stable position.

● Attach the mowing deck ejection
chute (1) on the upper side of the
mowing deck so that all four bores are
aligned with the corresponding bores
on the mowing deck.
● Guide one screw (2) through one of the
bores on the mowing deck and through
the corresponding bore on the mowing
deck ejection chute (1). Fit the
washer (2) and nut (E) onto the
screw (2). Screw on the nut (E), but do
not tighten.
