The Ottobock product Kimba Cross has not been approved by Ottobock for use as a seat in mo-
tor vehicles for the disabled!
Users of the product must always transfer to the seats installed in the motor vehicle with the
corresponding vehicle restraint systems!
Non-observance of these instructions could lead to injury of the user, as well as of all other pas-
sengers in the motor vehicle, in case of an accident.

7 Instructions for Maintenance and Cleaning

INfORMATION
Wealsorecommendthatyouhavethewheelchairmaintainedregularlyat12-monthintervalsbyyour
authorizedspecialistdealer.
• Checkthefunctionofthedrumbrakesonaregularbasisandreadjustthemifnecessary.
• Makesurethecablesusedtoactivatethedrumbrakescanmovefreely.
• Checkthetightnessofallscrewconnectionsonaregularbasis.
• Afteranyadjustments,snuglyre-tightenthescrewsthathavebeenloosened.
• WerecommendthatyouhaveyourKimbaCross–whenusedonanormalbasis–checked
onceayearbyaRehabilitationTechnologySpecialist.
• Cleanallframecomponentsandplasticpartsusingmilddetergentsonly.
• Paddingsectionscanbewashedat40°C.Ifwashedinawashingmachine,putthemina
linenbagorapillowcase.Inmostcases,wipingwithadampclothissufficient.
• DonotuseyourKimbaCrossinsaltwater,andkeepsandorotherparticlesfromdamaging
thewheelbearings.
