In general, you always set the origin in the lower right corner of the material as was presented in
Section 1.06. (Note: This may not be true with other brands of cutters.)
Preview: The preview displays the shapes that will cut and their orientation plus location based on other
settings.

For example, with a Portrait orientation and WYSIWYG cut mode, the Preview indicates the
shapes will cut exactly in the same location and orientation as you see on the Cutting Mat:

Using the same WYSIWYG cutting mode, but having the Cutting Mat orienation set as Landscape,
the Preview changes indicating the shapes will be cut in a landscape position:

In Origin Point mode, it doesn't matter where the shapes are located on the Cutting Mat, they will

cut so as to align with the origin you set:
Portrait
orientation
Landscape
orientation
Click these buttons or use
the arrow keys on your
keyboard to move the head
left/right and the mat in/out
Click OK once the tool tip is
in the desired location for
the origin
Shapes will cut in the
upper left corner of the
actual mat, just as shown
in the screenshot of the
Cutting Mat
Mat is fed this direction
Shapes will cut sideways
(landscape-style) if you
are facing the cutter
head on
Mat is fed this direction
