Open the rapid-action keyless chuck.
a Loosen the screw (10)
(NB: left-hand thread).
b Screw off the chuck (1) using an open ended
spanner (11).
Replace the chuck by reversing the above
procedure.
Cleaning
Clean from time to time by holding the tool with
the rapid-action keyless chuck facing vertically
downwards and twist the sleeve as far as it will
go towards "GRIP, ZU", and then turn back fully
in the opposite direction ("AUF, RELEASE").
The dust which has accumulated will fall out of
the chuck.
8 Hints and Tips
Drilling
Use of 2nd gear is recommended (higher
speed).
Switch on impulse mode for drilling into steel,
aluminium or tiles, with no need for preliminary
centre-punching and pilot drilling.
Drill tiles and other brittle materials without
impact.
In the case of deep bores pull the drill bit out of
the bore from time to time in order to remove
the bore dust or shavings.
Driving screws
Use of 1st gear is recommended (low speed),
and with the torque control feature in operation.
When driving screws with deformed heads in
wood, switch on impulse mode (depending on
equipment).
Switch on impulse mode (depending on equip-
ment) to achieve maximum torque when driving
screws.
Tapping threads
Apply a light film of oil to the tap.
Select 1st gear (low speed).

Switch on torque control.
Use original Metabo accessories only.

sent to one of the addresses listed in the spare

Please attach a description of the fault to the
tool.
